Tip of the Week:

Here in the northern hemisphere, this time of the Equinox marks the official end of summer and the beginning of the last season of the year. Interestingly, in the southern hemisphere, winter is over and spring season has begun. This can be quite confusing and even seem contradictory. What is equally strange is that even though it might seem natural to assume that people born in the southern hemisphere would reveal characteristics that are diametrically opposed to those of the sign that corresponds with the date verses the season, this is not the case. So, no matter where you were born in the world, the characteristics of the sign you were born under will shine through. The reasons for this are not easy to determine or explain. Consider the following hypothesis. One of the reasons may be that there is only one North Pole. In other words, even though people in the southern hemisphere are oriented towards the South Pole from the standpoint of hemispheric orientation, the entire magnetic orientation is determined by the pole star which is currently Polaris. (Astronomers say there are 3 other pole stars – Alpha Cephai, Vega and Alpha Draconis and these contribute to the Precession of the Equinoxes). Another consideration is that the month and the sign are archetypal. This means that the date lines used to divide the year into 12 strictly belong to the Zodiac Sign that is associated with that time, like September 22 to October 21 is Libra’s timeline. That Libra is the sign that is symbolic of this time also makes sense in that the sign of the weigh scale reveals a balance of hours of day and night. Although this mystery may remain unsolved, Astrology continues to work and transcends linear logic.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

A passionate surge backed by a romantic urge is for you to contend with now. If single, you may be on the hunt. Taking your love life to new levels and depths will remain strong for a couple of months yet. Patience with the process is ideal, especially in the shorter term as delays and restrictions are likely. The greater your sincerity to commit the more likely will be your success.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Sometimes it is simply too hot. It could be the water or the weather or the sauce or the sex. Okay, for some these don’t all belong in the same category. In any area of life, deciphering what is too much or too little is a common theme. Striking a healthy balance is ever ideal. Experience is the best teacher and you will get your share of it now. Sample before you commit big.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Now it is time to play. You have probably been busy working, healing and/or cleaning, perhaps inside and out. Well, you may have to continue to make sincere efforts but the heavier duties should be done, unless you have been neglectful. Now it is time to strengthen your resolve and maybe your constitution in another way. Give to the situation creatively.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Creating more beauty in your world is extra important to you now. Interior design is one option. Yet what you really want is more fun and play and perhaps more love and passion to color your world. Beyond romance and affection, the love you seek may have as much to do with power of some sort. Landing a dream job or getting that promotion could do it. Go for D: All of the above.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

Balancing a busy schedule - places to go and people to see – with a strong urge to dive deep somehow should prove interesting. The time has come to shake it up! Changes close to home are likely and could include renovations. There is an edgy element at play here and directing it well so nobody gets hurt may require extra attention. 

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

The time has come to build upon new foundations somehow. Experiences of late will lead you to decipher your priorities. With your energy levels running higher than usual, this could prove to be an eventful period. With clear intentions backed by organization and steady determination you could advance to the next level financially. Commit to strengthening your power potential.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

The Sun in your sign indicates that it is time to take some new initiatives. You may feel very serious and determined. Financial concerns and/or considerations are main interests. These may be linked to former or current partners. You know you want to realize change and have likely already initiated the process. Follow through patiently, it could take a while yet.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Taking a hiatus verses taking the initiative to explore new territory may be in conflict. How can you achieve both? This is where doing work behind the scenes can prove very satisfying. Sometimes we can delegate our responsibilities to others and get a lot done. Take an inventive approach to do more than you can alone and get some rest all the while.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Meeting new people and making new friends is on the airwaves now. Some of these could well be business related. Your practical aspirations are peaking. Becoming a member or attending clubs could prove extra timely and satisfying too. To succeed you may have to face some fears. Aim for scope now verses depth, you can deepen relations later.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You have likely ascended to a peak point on your journey. Getting there is one thing, staying there is another and gracefully descending yet another. None of these diminish the achievement, but the journey continues. A passionate push to breach more barriers is already present. What do you want to do next and with whom? Seek the next cast of worthy players.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Learning how to play more and work less sounds worthwhile. Seeing your job as a game you play could work. These and other such questions reveal a soul searching process. Researching is another part of the plot. Trust that the deeper purpose that you are seeking will reveal itself soon. Imagine that soon means the New Year. How can you enjoy the journey in the meantime?

 Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Severing old ties so you have more time and energy to devote to new ones is a central theme now. Many thoughts and reflections about your life are featured. Who and what do you love? Where do you want to go from here? Deep changes are provoking these thoughts and vice versa. The result of these will be linked to new dreams and visions. Accept your lessons now, they will bring rewards.
