Juneau, Alaska offers breathtaking scenery, pristine nature and endless possibilites for fun and adventure. Try an overhead view with a helicopter ride, tour on the trolley car, or look over the city on the tramway. It does not stop there.

If you're in search of exhilerating expeditions, you could head out to one of many adventures. Try hiking through the ice fields, or on the 100 miles of maintained trails, or have a walk in the glacier rainforest. Mendenhall glacier is a popular attraction stretching 100 feet high and 1.5 miles wide, a wonderous sight, and a must see.

Perhaps dog sledding is what you're looking for, or Alaskan sports fishing, a chartered trip to find the best spots, or fly-fishing on one of the incredible rivers. You can stay in wilderness resorts and national parks. Kayaking may get you a closer look at the whales. Keep your eyes open and a set of binoculars ready for sea otters and puffins, brown bears, polar bears, whales, orcas, wolves, lynx or moose and many beautiful birds as well as so many eagles.

 Start your day with sour dough pancakes and enjoy an evening of great seafood, or a traditional salmon bake with true Alaskan flavour. Juneau offers galleries, boutiques and shops. Spend time learning about the culture and history that surrounds you in the Juneau-Douglas City Museum and view the culture and heritage of the Tlingit, Haida and Tshimian nations.
